Democracy Abused

I saw this group on my Facebook wall since a contact of mine joined it. The group is "WE HATE CHIZ ESCUDERO".

Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/pages/We-HATE-Chiz-Escudero/119984515336?ref=s

I couldn't help but be disappointed that some would actually side with a group that's transparently insufficient with facts and evidences and attack a politician in a juvenile manner.

The creator or author of this group/fan page may be sued for violating Section 11. The State Policies of the 1987 constitution: "The State values the dignity of every human person and guarantees full respect for human rights." Is it righteous to start a propaganda based on a person's own personal opinion? I guess not.

In the preamble of the 1987 constitution also stated that We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a JUST and humane society. I guess they are just and humane when they made a complete mockery out of an individual.

There is nothing wrong siding with a political figure or having your own political views.But..Crude rants, irrational protests, unjustifyble comments and grandiosely fallacious testimonies only depicts the abuse of our liberty, freedom and democracy.

Let's put an end to this! If we want to improve the stature of our country we must start with ourselves. Whether it's an administration or oppositional hate group or profile. Let's not join or help by propagating its members.

Uncertainty breeds Irrationality

fallaciousness breeds counterfactuality

A moment to ponder..

In 1998, we said "Erap para sa masa". In 2001 we yelled "Impeach!".
Erap left then Gloria assumed presidency. We can only remember her saying "Ang saya saya noh?" after 8 years we said "Paano na ang mga Pilipino"? in a sad tone.
In 2004 she remarkably won by saying "Hello Garci". We found out the about the scandal she just said "I'm Sorry" and she got away with it.
We already looked like fools. So tell me..May nagawa na ba tayo?
